Driving Directions
Our long driveway is situated in between a Sinclair gas station and The Colonial Steakhouse.
From I-70: We're in NW Kansas along I-70. Take exit 70 and go southbound on US-83 about 200 yards. Turn west (right) into our driveway, and head straight up to the High Plains Camping Welcome Center.
From Southbound US-83: Cross over I-70 and in about 200 yards, turn west (right) into our driveway, and head straight up to the High Plains Camping Welcome Center.
From Northbound US-83: Follow US-83 around Oakley (US-83 and US-40 share a road for about 1 mile). When US-83 shoots north again, follow it about 5 miles and then turn west (left) into our driveway. Head straight up the driveway to the High Plains Camping Welcome Center.
Stay awhile and absorb our local history. For the western buffs, see where William Cody became "Buffalo Bill" following a contest with William Comstock. For the archeological buffs, check out Monument Rocks and see the Fick Fossil & History Museum (fossils from way back when sharks swam across our territory!). There's lots for you to see and do!
